Suspended ceilings are a common way of decoration, but in the case of suspended ceilings, counter-supports or transfer floors are often heard. So what are their norms and practices in practical applications?
1. What is the anti-support/conversion layer?
The concept of the transfer layer is similar to that of the counter-support. The performance of the counter-support is usually used for heavy ceilings , such as clean workshops in industrial plants. The height is high, and the middle of the ceiling is used as an inspection layer. Whereas the transfer floor provides large spaces and entrances .
The anti-support requires that the distance between the main keel should not be greater than 300 mm , and if it is too long, a suspender needs to be added. The conversion layer requires the combination of the conversion structure and the structural axis .
The anti-support can move up when encountering negative wind pressure to prevent deformation of the area. The conversion layer can perform structural conversion .
Under what circumstances do you need to use a back support/conversion layer?
back support
When the length of the ceiling hanger is greater than 1.5m and less than 3.0m , the reverse support shall be set according to the requirements of the specification;
conversion layer
When the inner space of the suspended ceiling is greater than 3.0m, (or when the vertical length of the counter support is greater than 1500mm), a conversion layer should be set.
Note: When the suspender meets the equipment, the suspender should be adjusted and added. When the ceiling area is large and the ceiling equipment is complicated, it is not recommended to use counter support.
2. Standard practice for anti-support/conversion layers
The anti-support methods include : the main keel tie method, the boom length tie method, and the inverted triangle method.
The transfer layer methods include : steel frame transfer layer, suspender + steel frame transfer layer.
Anti-support method
Main keel knot method
△Reverse support ceiling details - main keel tie method
Applicable to:
when the length of the boom exceeds 1.5m and is less than 3m .
Specific method:
Drill holes at the bottom of the CS60 main keel cross brace at intervals of the main keel, pass through the M8 full-thread suspender, and fix the position with the upper and lower nuts.
The CS60 main keel braces are arranged opposite to each other twice the main keel spacing; when the length of the boom exceeds 1.5m and is less than 2m, the CS50 main keel is properly used.
Suspender full-length knot method
△Reverse braced ceiling details - Suspender full-length tie method
Applicable to:
when the length of the boom exceeds 1.5m and is less than 3m .
Specific method:
set the cable-stayed reinforcement every twice the distance of the main keel. 8 The transverse steel bars, cable-stayed steel bars and their joints with the M8 full-teeth suspender must be treated with anti-rust treatment.
8 The steel bars can be replaced by M8 full-teeth suspenders, but the welds need to be treated with antirust.
inverted triangle method
△Reverse support ceiling details - inverted triangle method
Applicable to:
when the length of the boom exceeds 1.5m and is less than 2m .
Note:
The installation distance is within 2m , distributed in a plum blossom shape around a certain center, and should not be arranged on the same straight line.
Conversion layer method
steel frame conversion layer
△ Conversion layer construction method
Precautions for installation:
The suspenders on the transfer floor are made of rigid components such as angle steel and channel steel, and the ends of the rods are reliably connected to the bottom of the floor.
In order to ensure the stability of the transfer floor, diagonal braces should be reliably connected to the sides of concrete beams and walls, and should be installed vertically and horizontally.
When it is impossible to connect with the beam side and wall side, cross tie rods should be installed between the suspenders, both vertically and horizontally.
Suspension rod + steel frame conversion layer
△When encountering an air duct, the handling method of the boom
The method of anti-support/transition layer is to make the length of the suspender not greater than 1500mm , so the method of conversion layer can also be made: suspender + angle steel + suspender . more flexible in application.
3. Summary
The anti-support and transfer layer are for:
1. To shorten the length of the boom to ensure the safety of the ceiling;
2. To facilitate the arrangement of equipment and pipelines in the ceiling space; and to set up building components.
Among them:
when the length of the ceiling hanger is greater than 1.5m and less than 3.0m, the reverse support should be set according to the specification requirements;
when the internal space of the ceiling is greater than 3.0m, (or when the vertical length of the counter support is greater than 1500), a conversion layer should be set.
